Over the years, I have realized that the role of wedding photographer often means being entrusted with the intimacy and emotion of each couple’s story. Ashley and Paul’s celebration carried with it a special weight for me, knowing that Ashley had lost her mother to cancer and was herself a cancer survivor. It was a humbling thing to witness her strength on such a beautiful day, and recognize the gentle and reassuring presence of Paul in her life as the two were wed this past weekend. Such narratives and personal journeys are a profound gift to stand as witness to, and I am grateful for such trust offered time and time again.
